Are you a Nurse or Pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber qualification and a passion for delivering evidence-based treatments in Substance Misuse?

The ideal candidate will possess advanced clinical skills, a strong knowledge of pharmacology, and the ability to autonomously assess, diagnose, and manage patient care. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and ensure the highest standards of care.

Key Requirements:Independent Prescriber qualification
RCGP Qualifications Level 1 (and 2 or willingness to work towards)
Experience of working within substance misuse (desirable)

We are one of the largest complex integrated treatment services in England. We operate an MDT model and there is real opportunity to work within a fantastic supportive team, including a mental health nurse offering specific interventions to support people, making a real difference to the lives of those in our community.

We have a strong ethos around staff development, with protected CPD time being offered, as well as individual and group supervision. All clinical services are supported by an experienced and dynamic multidisciplinary central clinical department.

Criminal Justice Recovery Navigator

Criminal Justice Recovery Navigator – Permanent
Based at Portland House however the successful candidate will be working between multiple sites around Sheffield including; police stations, custody suites, prisons etc.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, this can be discussed at interview.

PLEASE NOTE: This position requires both, police and prison vetting.

About the role…
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recovery Navigator with a Criminal Justice focus to join the team.  The team provides support and advice for individuals in a variety of Criminal Justice settings who are experiencing problematic substance use, to promote harm reduction, encourage ownership and promote positive change for the individual, their families, and the wider community.

In a multi-disciplinary approach working with partner agencies such as the Police, Probation, the Learning and Diversion team, Prisons, and many others, you will provide a targeted approach for service users, from harm reduction, brief interventions through to structured treatment, ensuring that every recovery journey is tailored to the individuals’ priorities, you will be working across a variety of Criminal Justice, such as Police custody, Courts and Secure estates. You will take a “whole person” holistic approach, ensuring that each individual’s package of support is personal, flexible and realistic, that it encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, not just their substance use, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every individual.

We support a range of adults with various substance related issues including alcohol, non-opiates, OTC medication and recreational drugs. At Likewise, we provide information, advice, and professional support to empower individuals to make healthier choices regarding alcohol and drug use. Our mission is to enhance safety and promote recovery through a comprehensive range of services, delivered by experienced local providers, ensuring no one is left without the assistance they need, no matter the complexity of their needs.

Likewise, is commissioned by Sheffield City Council and strives to create a safe, supportive environment where individuals can develop essential life skills, regain confidence, and achieve lasting recovery. We believe in helping our service users reintegrate into society as active, contributing citizens.

Permanent – Part Time, 30 Hours per week – preferably Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday 9am until 5pm and Thursday 11am until 7pm – please note other working hours can be discussed providing the Thursday evening is included.
