Likewise Open Day to Celebrate Two Years of Our Service

Likewise had their first ever Open Day on Tuesday 9th September, inviting professionals and community members through Likewise doors to learn more about our service. It was a wonderful afternoon and evening sharing what we do with the public, building new connections and catching up with familiar faces

Each open day session started off with a talk. Our head of service Sam Higgins and Jo Byrden gave an overview of Likewise, which was followed by Dr Shelley Jackson who gave a talk on the role of our clinical team and Scott McKay who explained how the Recovery Hubs works.  This was followed by a tour of the building where we guided attendees upstairs around the building. They were able to engage and ask questions with each of our team at Likewise, at the different stalls we had created.

This a brilliant opportunity for us to showcase the person-centred and trauma-informed support they provide and to strengthen the partnerships that help make the work possible. As well as a great chance for the public to ask questions about what we do directly to our different teams, and it was brilliant seeing so much engagement with the stalls. We were really appreciated of everyone who attended and to our partners that supported this event, from Sheffield City Council to service organisations from across Sheffield as well as local businesses.
