Sheffield celebrates Recovery Month
Recovery Month 2026 is officially here! There’s so many events happening across Sheffield that you can get involved in this month.
Recovery month is a month long celebration of those who are in recovery or on a recovery journey from alcohol and drugs. It’s s a time to share stories, celebrate our community and come together.
We have so many events being put on by the recovery community and different organisations across Sheffield.

Sports Day

Likewise Open Days
Likewise are also holding Open Day for recovery month.
Professionals Open Day
Wednesday 30 September | 2pm–4.45pm
Our Professionals Open Day is an opportunity to find out more about Likewise and the support we provide across Sheffield.
The afternoon will include:
- A presentation about our service from our Head of Service
- Updates on our new alcohol pathway and chemsex pathway
- An update on our recent ketamine campaign
- The opportunity to meet and ask questions of our different teams
- Information stalls from teams across Likewise
- A tour of our building

Community Open Day
Wednesday 7 October | 4pm–6pm
Our Community Open Day is an opportunity for members of the community to come along, have a look around our service and find out more about what we offer.
There will be two short talks, you can go to the talk either at 4.15pm or 6.15pm, giving you the opportunity to learn more about our service and the support available.
This event is open to all members of the community, and there is no need to book. However, you can sign up on our community open day Eventbrite if you would like to receive a reminder closer to the event.
We’re also inviting professionals who support people in Sheffield to bring along anyone they think would benefit from visiting Likewise and finding out more about our service.
Both Open Days are a great opportunity to:
- Learn more about what we do
- Hear from our Head of Service
- Meet our different teams and ask questions
- Find out more through our team information stalls
- Have a look around our building
